About Me

I believe that we all have a mission in this life, mine is to help others get organised.

Strange as it may sound, I feel a deep satisfaction when I’m transforming cluttered spaces into models of efficiency, and turning chaotic lives into harmony.

My passion for organising started as a child.  I was raised without systems or schedules.  My mother had a habit of procrastinating on important things until the very last minute.  And my father collected loads of stuff over the years that led to an overstuffed, cluttered garage.  Looking back, I’d say organising things around our house was my way of creating the structure that had been absent up to that point in my life.

Far from being negative, these experiences were my first inspiration to enter the world of organising!  So, at the age of 11, I began volunteering to sort things out around our neighbours’ houses.

Ever since then, I’ve felt passionate about helping people get organised and assert control over their space (through organisation), their paper and digital files (through procedures)  and their schedule (through proactive time management).

Hi, my name is Nathalie Ricaud, Professional Organiser and founder of Get Organised & Beyond. Originally from France, I’ve been living in Singapore since 1998.

The challenges that my clients face

  • They own too many things (clothes, books, toys, medicine, kitchenware, paper, etc.).
  • Clutter in the home has them feeling overwhelmed and stressed.
  • They don’t socialise at home very much, because of the disorganisation.
  • They spend money buying things they already have but can’t remember they have, or can’t find.
  • There’s never enough time to get done everything that needs to be done.
  • There’s even less time (if any) to enjoy the things they truly love to do.

These things take a major toll on someone’s happiness, peace of mind, and the quality of their relationships with family and loved ones. And that’s what drives me in my work. Seeing the transformation that happens, in families and in individuals, when these simple but effective systems and solutions are put into place to get organised and take control of their daily schedule.

I spent over 20 years in the Logistics industry, optimising warehouses’ space utilisation and re-vamping their processes and systems to increase efficiency.

I loved that work, but it was missing the personal element. There’s a big difference between organising a commercial warehouse vs. organising the home of a family who wants to improve their happiness and relationships.

That became really clear after the birth of my son. I was travelling quite a bit at that stage, and I needed to establish systems so that our household could run efficiently, even while I was gone. I once again saw how organisation and time management were so crucial to keeping a family happy.

As my friends started to seek my guidance in creating order in their homes, I began to look into Professional Organising as a career. I became more and more certain that this was my calling. But, I must confess it took me a while to take the leap and start my own business.

Get Organised & Beyond has allowed me to blend my passion, skills and personal and professional experience together for the benefit of my clients and their families.

But my journey is far from complete. I continuously upgrade my skills by attending training programs and events conducted by industry authorities such as the American National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and the Institute Of Professional Organisers (IOPO).

If I had to boil my approach down to one idea it would be this:

Simplicity and efficiency over perfection.

That’s the mentality that my clients have embraced with great and long-lasting results. And that’s the mentality that I believe can improve the happiness and quality of life of so many others.

If you’re in need of organisation, or time management guidance, I’d love to share these insights with you in more detail. Contact me to book your FREE 20-minute phone discussion.

I hope to be a part of your journey.
